Roadworks on Birkenhead Ave

We have been advised by AT (Auckland Transport) that from Friday, 27 December until Monday 3rd February 2025 that SOUTHBOUND ON Birkenhead Avenue between Pupuke Road and Onewa Road
will be closed due to drainage work and roadworks needing to be carried out.

Detours will be in place from 27th December until the work is finished—weather dependent.
Option 1 Detour – Use the Onewa Road Exit from the motorway and turn Right into
Birkenhead Ave
Option 2 Detour – Turn right at Pupuke Road, turn left into Eskdale Road and follow the
detour signs
Access into Birkenhead Avenue will not be affected from Onewa Road.
(Please note that we are aware that there are other detour options however we have been advised by AT to only recommend those ones above)

Access will not be affected for residents, but the only way to access your home, or the RSA is to come from Onewa Road.
