Great news – The Birkenhead RSA has been chosen as the new host venue for The Variety Artists Club of NZ Inc.Shows are held on the first Monday of each month and start Monday 4th December at 7pm. The restaurant is open for meals from 5pm on the first Monday of the month.

Welcome to the Variety Artists Club of New Zealand Inc (“the VAC”).
Welcome to the VAC – The Premier Association for Entertainers and Performing Artists in New Zealand, incorporated to “promote the goodwill of the public towards New Zealand entertainment and entertainers, to foster a spirit of loyalty and cooperation between entertainers, and to encourage and assist members to achieve higher performance standards” as stated in our constitution.
The club meets monthly on the first Monday of every month except January each year when we present the VAC ENTERTAINMENT SHOWCASE, a two and a half hour variety show featuring 4 or 5 acts.
Members of the public are welcome. A small cash door charge applies, currently $5 for VAC members or $10 for non-members, but we recommend our VAC Membership to save money and enjoy other club benefits.
As well as the chance to enjoy some great talent and a regular inexpensive social outing, these nights provide an invaluable opportunity for young artists to gain live performance experience and mix with professionals in the entertainment industry.
